Adaire Blankley Location: Arcadia, Celestialan Tower Accompanying: All you hoes
Ah ara response of snapping trees in half made her give a grin, a genuine one that she showed only those she trusted. “Impressive as always...Stay the hell out of my forests then. The hawks are roosting and I’ll kick your *ss if you damage a nest.” She winked, knowing she was feisty enough to go toe to toe with him or charm a few raccoons to steal his laundry, if she was feeling particularly evil. She did it to the former leader, even if he never could pin it on someone. The next comment made her grin pacify to a thoughtful look, her lips twisting some in thought. The image of Agnar crocheting and reciting poetry drew a laugh to her that unfortunately ended with a snort. Not because it was impossible but because his large size made everything look like a giant handling tools for a mouse. “I’ve known you how many years Aggie? I’m not saying you wouldn’t be cultured in the softer arts, but just that I would be disappointed if you never crocheted Nibbles a sweater or recited any poetry at the local college readings.” She said with a cocky smile that led into a shrug from her. “As for me, you know being the ‘b*t sh*t hermit professor’ in the forest is a full time job. I got to scare some hunters away from a bear yesterday and went for pint afterwards to celebrate. You know the barkeep’s cousin was one of the hunters? Said the bear ate a cow. Well don’t let your cows graze where the bear eats! Ah and there’s this amazing waterfall in a glade that I found. You might like it for a quick dip in the summer. And let’s see the rest was all grading and lessons with the students interested in preservation. They’re all green but I think I can toughen them up by winter.” She said, excitedly sharing her days that barely had a full moment. She liked to stay busy and that’s why she often didn’t get to meet the others. Adaire perked up when Prisma came to hug her. She missed her friend but knew that her daughter was important. She wished Prisma would let her join the group but it seemed her mother was protective of the young girl... Adaire was content even if she rose a brow at Kai and sneered at his new follower. “More children?” She rolled her eyes skyward, since she wasn’t against kids just the fact they weren’t fully fledged members about to hear some harsh things. Poor kids might wet themselves... The room was quickly filling up now and Adaire wasn’t sure she liked the show of new faces. She didn’t like being shut up in a room full of people, especially those she never spoke with regularly. She was the type that had her people that she stuck with and the rest were viewed with hesitance and skepticism until they proved themselves otherwise trustworthy. Such as Agnar, Prisma, and Quell. Not that she hated the others, but they usually only got the stony and prickly side of Adaire that she presented to most. So when the new head b*tch entered the chamber and began things with barely an eyelash bat at her predecessor, Adaire passed her a once over look. She didn’t look like much to be the new leader they needed. This guild would chew her up and spit her back out if she wasn’t anything.... “Adaire. Capricorn. And this is Nibbles.” She said as the glider slunk his way to the table, sniffing the air to get a read on the new Aquarius.

Dimitri was feeling a bit off kilter as he stood with his wife out in the yard, learning stances and techniques for fighting. After that night and his worrying episode that morning, the busy body side of himself wanted to do something to make him feel more secure. That meant learning a little bit of self defense here and there to make sure he wasn’t useless should someone try to harm his friends and family again. The stubborn man learned to be a servant for Alycianna, so how hard could learning to fight be? The answer was difficult and Nesryn, All-Mother bless her, was a patient teacher despite his fumbling. He was lucky to have all his limbs after the debacle with the sword. At least he kind of understood knives after his time cooking. But hand to hand seemed like a different story. He stood there trying to copy her stance, only to get it incorrect and have her correct him. He took up the guarding stance, but when she asked him to hit her, he immediately blanched. There was no way in hell that he was swinging at his wife. While he was sure she could block it and dodge, he wasn’t about to lay a hand of harm on her. But Nesryn was quick to scold him for thinking that way. He swallowed before throwing a punch that was clearly pulled to avoid doing any real harm. Nesryn easily blocked it and Dimitri lowered his stance with a concerned look at her. “That didn’t hurt did it—!” He stumbled back when she threw a punch at him that grazed his chin due to their height difference and his dumb luck. He stared wide eyes at her before clumsily blocking another punch with his arms. “Ow! Nes what the—“ He blocked another swing, seeing that feisty look in her eyes as if telling him she knew he was coddling her, something she neither wanted nor needed from him if she was going to teach him. He gave a sigh, knowing what he needed to do, and a crooked smile before lowering back into that stance and throwing a heartier punch. She caught it easily and the pair exchanged blows like this, even if Dimitri was definitely still being careful of her. He didn’t want to bruise her up and panic the locals.

"Don't be too impressed," Septimus said dryly. "My power does a lot of the hard work for me. I just provide the seeds and make sure to do the watering and the like as needed." He smiled and wrapped an arm around her waist as she stepped closer to him.
"An invitation to a party? I believe I heard something about that. If you're wishing to take me as your plus one, then I'll gladly accept." He grinned a bit, leaning down to kiss her cheek. "Though, it may wreak hell on our political campaigns if I drag you to the corner and snog you all night."

Eir was glad Malachi seemed to understand the weight of the gift and the fact it basically placed him as a member of their family at this point. An honorary member in spirit, but the sentiment was still there. The family seemed warmed by his further words, even the matriarch was smiling a bit as she appraised the boy. His words of reassurance to Fen’Ora earned him a nod of her thanks, her eyes on him critically before she passed that look to Eir. “I’ll be counting on you two to keep an eye on each other. Do not let me receive word you two found dangerous trouble in Phonax or I will be coming to collect you and having a word with your mother.” She scolded, but pinpricks of mustiness in her eyes gave away that she still was apprehensive about putting her child on a boat and sending him far from her. Eir gave his mother a smile of reassurance, knowing things would be fine but he did also mourn making her worry. “I promise we’ll be perfect angels.” The conversation between mother and son was cut short by Ifram and Sehrish entering. She of course was dressed with skin to show but this time for different reasons. She clung to Her husband, prideful of the fact that she had an attractive man on her arm that was her’s. The other women there could eat their heart out with their little rumors and gossip about Sehrish’s comings and going’s. She gave quick greetings to the the older Aluanas, noting the distaste from the Elder as she eyed up Sehrish’s ample cleavage. “No one’s mourning shall be as great as mine. How dare my two dear friends abandon me here. This city will be dull in comparison while Ifram is on assignment.” She said as she pouted a little to herself. However, her look turned mischievous as she eyed Eir blushing bashfully at Malachi hyping him up. “Hardly Mal. This is a scholarly mission and I intend to return ‘well-learned’ as you did.” He stated and Sehrish gave a snicker. “Oh I bet. Mal do try to work on this ‘stud’ while away. I expect an elegible bachelor when he returns so I can have decent married friends.” She teased, making Eir blush brightly. “Sehrish!” He warned while his mother was standing right there. However, the woman turned pink and had to surprises a laugh behind her hand as she ducked into her husband’s shoulder. Lord Aluanas rolled his eyes, sparing Sehrish a raise of his brow before patting his son on the head. “What dear? All I said was bring me something back pretty...Consider it your debt for making me miss you both terribly.” She gave Eir and Malachi a softer look before patting Ifram’s arm. It was a small reminder that she would be back and that she acknowledged him. With that she stepped forward and pulled them both into a tight hug, a bit of a sniffle coming from her. “I hate that you both are going, but I’m excited at the same time. Be sure to bring me tons of manuscripts, Eir and Mal,” she gave him a tighter squeeze, “don’t change. You are perfect the way you are.” She then pulled back, giving both a bit of a misty eyed look.

Asena was dressed in time, opting for a comfortable pair of pants and one of Septimus’s shirts. She was hardly going to go run around a garden in the dress she wore last night and besides she liked the color green of this one. It matched well with the green of all the plants there. Asena marveled at the growing vegetables and the trees off to the side. She didn’t have a green thumb as a Heli user and often I her run in with plants often ended with her burning them to ashes. So Asena refrained from touching as she looked at a few sprouts nearby and tilted her head a bit at them. “You grow all this in your free time?” She asked Septimus as she sidled up to him, more to keep some semblance of closeness to the man. “I’m surprised the local nobles don’t faint to hear you’ve gotten your hands dirty. Oh speaking of which, Lalasa gave me an invitation to an event in a few weeks. Completely fancy and perhaps gauche, but I think it might be fun if I have my date with me?” She asked, figuring it couldn’t hurt to ask him. She had once been toying with the idea of asking him as a friend, but the latest developments kicked that out the window. “You did help me avoid completely ruining the banquet so this should be coppers in comparison...And there will be a lovely lack of Damien skulking about.” She stated, happy that this was considered a sort of redemption event set up by her uncle, a chance for her to make up for helping to burn down a mansion.

Alec Maris Quell The Arcadian Institute of Magis Arcadia Grand Eccentrique Meeting Room Y1054 Accompanying: The Eccentrique
_________________
Alec straightened slightly as he was addressed, his face breaking into a grin as he registered who had spoken. He bowed slightly in greeting, though he did not rise fully from his chair as he did so, though he knew she wouldn't mind. Ma Liaohue had become an unexpected yet welcome friend to him over the years they had known each other. Ever the helpful hand, she was always willing to hear out his most outlandish ideas and helped whenever she could to provide elements to aid in his experiments. Plant cells were still a foreign realm to him and her insight was always appreciated.
"The cells are proving tricky to work with but I think I am managing something." he said in a soft voice as he nodded to his notebook. He had left the tattered looking book open on the desk in front of him, the pages cramped with words and pictures scrawled in a tight neat hand. "I do think there is something to be gained from using plant and skin cells in tandem to bandage wounds. With certain plants I am sure it would triple the speed of healing and would be an invaluable tool in battle." He made an effort to keep his voice low so as not to disturb others around the room. Most in the room would likely find the conversation a dull one and he didn't feel the need to involve them. This meeting wasn't about him, after all. "That reminds me...I was wondering if I could bother you for something to help with the experiments. Something soothing in nature, an aloe perhaps? I'm thinking if I start with something surface like a burn it would be easier to-"
His thoughts trailed off as an unexpected person entered the room. Alec had only had the pleasure of meeting Kai on few occasions but each of them was memorable. There had, in fact, been meetings in the past where the islander's presence had been requested and he had chosen not to attend at all. Alec had an almost fond memory of Kai showing up at the tail end of a meeting, all charm and apologies. None of the apologies had been convincing in the slightest and it was evident to anyone paying attention that he simply couldn't be bothered to attend the meeting at all. There was a certain charm to that. If Alec was being completely honest with himself there was a certain charm to everything Kai did. Of course, he would never admit that to himself. Work was work and Kai was an enigma. An unreachable enigma. But he couldn't help but wonder-
His thoughts were jostled once again as another latecomer entered the room. Abrish the apprentice. Alec didn't have an apprentice yet but he had always been open to the idea. No one had stood out yet to him and, even if they had, convincing someone to take on this life was difficult work. Before he could wonder why she was here unattended she spoke and Alec felt the grin fade from his face. Loss of life was always a burden and he had been completely unaware of the old master's death. He bowed his head slightly and took a deep breath, releasing it slowly as he offered a moment of silent remembrance for Cryion. Had the others known before today or was this news to all of them? The apprentice...the new Aquarius, that is, didn't seem bothered in the slightest by the news.
"We mourn your loss." Alec said softly as he looked back up at the young woman. "Please, let us know if there is anything we can do to help you in this time of mourning." He felt the need to include everyone else in that statement as no one would have offered if he hadn't. At least, he didn't think they would. "I'm sure you know, but I am Alec Quell, or the Sagittarius." He offered her a smile and looked around the room, his eyes finally falling on Liaohue, a silent invitation for her to speak next.

Name: Abrish, Avatar of Aquarius- leader of the Essentriques. Location: Arcadia, Celestialan Tower Accompanying: the other who showed up to the meeting. •~°•••°~• Abrish tapped a finger on her desk in annoyance as the man before her kept talking, she had a meeting to attend and she could tell she was late. As he went on to speak on how to 'properly address' the others she rolled her eyes, lips pursed. "Yes, yes. I know how to be polite in public and not to bite. I have a meeting- if you will excuse me." She stated finally getting a space to interject herself as the man was rather long winded. She knew he meant well but she could handle herself. Heading down the stairs she felt the energy from the room, knowing quite a few were there already. She took a deep breath and straightened out her dress, her short statua not helping much but she didn't mind. Opening the door she came in , eyes scanning everyone from the layed back ones to the big imposing one. She might have been newer at this then most of them but she would do her job well. She walked to her seat, more at the front of the room and took a moment before sitting. Her mentor, a man she had assumed would have made it to his own meeting, never let her sit in his place now it was hers- but so was the responsibility to handle all of these...magis users and their interesting personalities. "Greetings, I apologize for the late start I had- well there was a yammering idiot in my office to be blunt about it." She stated first off but was honest about things. "Might we have a brief introduction? I shall go first. I am the new Avatar of Aquarius, Abrish. I am replacing my mentor Cryion as he passed suddenly not a week out." She stated firmly looking apathetic about the dead since honestly it didn't bother her. No one knew that thw old man was mean, as she often for the brunt of it.

Nesryn had agreed to take Eir with her on the trip to the healer, knowing he’d be able to translate. Of course, it was hardly ideal since he’d then know what she suspected was going on with her. All the symptoms pointed to pregnancy. The tender breasts, the moods, the slight weight she noted she was putting on and her cravings. However, she also knew an example of when a woman was so desperate for a child that her mind had tricked her body into showing symptoms. As Eir rattled off numerous diseases and explained the ins and outs of a number of them, Nesryn simply gnawed at her lip a little in unease. She couldn’t tell Dimitri right away... He’d be absolutely devastated if anything went wrong. She’d calculated the window of when she could of fell pregnant and decided that if it were that she were pregnant... it was in the early and unpredictable stages. When Eir was hustled away and she was made to sit in front of the healer, she fiddled nervously as the woman ran her hands over her. Her own magis could sense the energy as it pulsed through her and it calmed her. Her eyes had slipped shut when the healer took a hand of hers and in simple Duthul told her she was pregnant. The assassin blinked, a little unsure of how she felt. On one hand she was ecstatic, that much could be seen by the spark to her eyes. On the other hand she was scared and that showed in the shaky way she smiled and squeezed the healers hand in gratitude. “Vinxa-“ she managed as she stood to meet Wir and his expectant gaze. “She said it was probably just a viral thing... that it will pass soon” Nesryn managed as she began at a quick pace toward their home. She relayed the exact words she’d told Eir to Dimitri as she hugged him tightly. He was going to be a dad if all went well... and he didn’t even know it. Soon she reasoned. Soon
-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:- “Mitri- No... No-“ Nesryn gave a small sigh as she went to correct her husbands stance. He’d insisted she teach him a few things. He wanted to not be defenceless like he was the other night but he was never defenceless if he had her. The reason Nesryn obliged was the thought of a child. If she was gone... he’d have to know a thing or two. They’d started with a sword, not really his forte. Then to knives, which he wasn’t half bad at and now into hand to hand. “Elbows in, hands in front of face” she pushed his elbows by his side and lifted the man’s hands up to guard his face. She took up a similar stance in front of him and leveled a serious look at him, “I’ll show you. Try and strike at me” she saw his mouth about to open in protest and she leveled a look at him. “How will you be any good at this if you don’t use it. Now come on. Try and hit me!”

Mal was about to answer Eir’s well spoken Sandarin- he would miss the place greatly and endeavoured that once their reciprocated trips were up he’d have to venture across the border more often- when they were both interrupted by Eir’s grandmother. The Elvi grinned at the nickname she had bestowed upon him and gave a slight bow, the pair of ornate beads threaded into his now much shorter hair at his temples made noise with the movement. Gifts from very excitable women who begged him to stay and tell tales as they wove them in. He nodded in agreement as she complimented him on how he was much like a Glaperan. Malachi had of course turned an olive colour and it made his teeth seem much whiter and his eyes brighter but he could never look exactly like a drake. The sentiment warmed him some though and was glad both he and the matriarch had come to an understanding, even if it were mostly her giving jest at his expense. “I thank you for your compliments but there would have been no progress if you did not welcome me so readily into your home- especially Eir” as he smiled warmly at his friend, he slung an arm about his shoulders affectionately to give him a squeeze “I promise to make sure he will be just as comfortable in Phonax” the second half of his sentence was more directed to Fen’Ora, as he had witnessed her to grow quite nervous about her son leaving the country. When Eir’s father joined them, Mal gave a respectful dip of his head but paused when the sword was offered to him. Gingerly he took it in his hands, eyes marvelling at the ornate blade and it’s scabbard. It was a brilliant gift and with his keen eyes he didn’t miss a single detail of the ornate scrolling on the hilt. He felt emotion well up within him and struggled to find any words of thanks. He swallowed hard and looked at the four of them as he reigned in his feelings. “I shall treasure this greatly” he managed in an awed and humbled whisper. He quickly strapped it to his hip and smiled at how he and Eir had matching blades. It was fitting really.
“I want to thank you all for what you have taught me. I shan’t be surprised if I am the ‘most learned’ Hythian when I return. Your people have astounded me with such rich culture and food. Your beaches are beautiful and I have grown used to the warmth here. It will sadden me greatly to leave” A rumbled laughed cut into the circle of Aluanas and Ifram joined with Sehrish on his arm. Malachi was glad the couple had mended things between them and were on good terms once more. Ifram gave a bow to each of the Aluanas family and smiled, “It would seem the Golden Boys of Glapera will be dearly missed among the young women here. Sighs of mourning echo these halls” Mal grinned and nudged Eir with an elbow, “Of course. Who wouldn’t miss the tender and charming words of this gentleman. He’s even learning to pen a few rhymes. Such a stud will surely be missed among the youth around here but what Glapera loses, Phonax shall gain”

Thankfully, Dimitri had the day off from work and used it to get his full quota of sleep. He was rightfully frazzled and exhausted after dealing with a dead man and helping his wife get the blood and bile off of her. He felt poorly that Bryer had to witness all of that, but Eir was quick to take care of that when they returned. He seemed to be alright when Dimitri emerged in the afternoon, sporting bed head and circles under his eyes. He noted a suspicious lack of Nesryn and Eir, something that worried him a tad. But he agreed to calm his worrying a bit and didn’t want to get panicked when there was no reason for it. Maybe the healer had gone to help check on Nesryn after she vomited the night before. Maybe she was being treated for something harmless like a stomach bug. Nes would be fine...right? As he stirred his tea absentmindedly, he began to wonder if maybe the bounty hunter had poisoned her or maybe she came down with a fever that the barmaid had at the local tavern? All possibilities and not impossible. He began to stir his tea a bit quicker, unable to help that his foot was bouncing in apprehension. So instead he rose and decided to instead fix the squeaking board beneath his chair that was driving him nuts... ~~|||~~ “Well as long as we’re on the subject it could be over 50 known diseases found on this side of the world.” Eir stated as he walked with Nesryn to the temple of Arydun for healing. He would have to act as her translator as he was sure the more medical things would be difficult for her to understand and translate herself. So he agreed to help, even if it was a bit to be sure he knew what was going on in case she decided to hide things. After all, Dimitri was a worrier when it came to Nesryn’s health and he personally wanted to make sure the man didn’t have to worry. If he did have cause to worry...well Eir would be there to help heal Nesryn back to health. He had worked with Corruption before so what was some mysterious bout of nausea? “Ah and to put your mind at ease 30 of those diseases are curable. So no need to worry.” Eir added as he approached the steps with Nesryn. However, after he translated her symptoms for her, the healer there, a woman asked if Eir was her husband. When he adamantly clarified, she shooed him off to go wait in another room while the healer observed her. The woman’s hands glowed brightly as she ran her hands along her sides, her head, her wrists, and finally her abdomen. The light faded and the woman gave Nesryn a gentle look, placing a comforting hand on hero’s. “Still early, but exciting. Not sick. Pregnant. Tiichirs!” She said in broken Duthl, hoping that this didn’t upset or frighten the woman.
